ABOUT ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS
Alien Guitar Secrets was created around a problem familiar to countless guitarists: you can learn shapes, patterns, licks and techniques for years and still feel lost when you look at the whole fretboard.
The issue isn't necessarily a lack of information. It's often that nobody showed you how the information connects.
WHY AGS EXISTS
Founded by guitarist and educator Rob Lobasso, Alien Guitar Secrets takes a structured approach to fretboard knowledge, technique and musical application.
Notes, intervals, scales, chords, rhythm and technique aren't treated as unrelated subjects. They are connected so you can begin to see the guitar as one complete musical system.
And that understanding has to lead somewhere. The aim isn't merely to know more theory or memorise more patterns. It's to use what you know through phrasing, improvisation, repertoire, composition and your own creative decisions.

HOW WE TEACH
The AGS method has some of the discipline of a dojo: build the foundations properly, develop each skill with purpose and gradually learn to use those skills with greater freedom.
Technique matters. Knowledge matters. Practice matters. But they become far more valuable when they serve music rather than existing only as exercises.
