What You Need for a Zoom Lesson
You don't need a complicated setup to get started. A few basics will help your online lesson run smoothly and make it easier to focus on the playing.
Your Guitar
Have your guitar ready, tuned and within easy reach. Electric guitar is ideal for AGS lessons, although other guitar types are welcome where appropriate.
Stable Internet Connection
A reliable connection helps keep audio and video clear throughout the lesson.
Zoom Installed & Updated
Use the latest version of Zoom on your computer or device before the lesson begins.
Suitable Camera & Audio
Position your camera so the guitar, fretting hand and picking hand can be seen clearly. Your device's built-in audio is enough to get started; headphones, an external microphone or audio interface can improve the experience where available.
Notebook or Practice Journal
Useful for recording exercises, practice goals, lesson notes and follow-up work.
