Your first session at Alien Guitar Secrets is an Assessment Session — a relaxed, supportive introduction where we get to know the student, their goals, and how they learn best.
This session isn’t a test. It’s a friendly musical check-in designed to make sure you (or your child) are placed on the right path from day one.
What happens in an Assessment Session:
- A quick, pressure-free look at current skill level
- Discussion around goals (songs, styles, confidence, technique, etc.)
- Identification of strengths and gaps
- Recommendation of the best learning pathway (Junior Academy, private coaching, online program)
- A simple practice focus to get started immediately
Why Assessment Sessions matter:
- Prevents students being placed in the wrong level
- Helps avoid frustration and overwhelm
- Creates a personalised learning plan from lesson one
- Gives parents clarity on the best next steps
