Hi, I’m Rob Lobasso, founder of Alien Guitar Secrets.
Like many guitarists, I spent years learning shapes, patterns, and techniques — yet still feeling disconnected from the fretboard. I could copy what others played, but I struggled to truly express myself through the instrument.
Over time, I realised that great guitar playing isn’t just about technique. It’s about understanding how music works, how the fretboard connects, and how to translate what you hear in your head into what your hands can play.
Through decades of playing and teaching, I’ve developed a structured approach that helps guitarists master the fundamentals — notes, intervals, scales, chords, and technique — while also learning how to actually make music with them.
Yes, we cover advanced techniques like tapping, sweeping, string skipping and picking mechanics. But more importantly, we focus on how to think musically, move freely across the neck, and develop your own voice on the instrument.
